The National Universities Commission (NUC) has received, through the federal Ministry of Education, a UNESCO circular, representing for nominations for the 2016 Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (ISESCO) prizes in Science and Technology.
These ISESCO prizes are awarded for works of outstanding socioeconomic significance in the fields of biology, chemistry, geology, mathematics, physics and technology, undertaken by scientists and researchers in the member states who have made remarkable contributions in their research fields. Each ISESCO prize consists of an award of US$5,000 and a certificate on which major contribution of the prize winner are mentioned.
Nominations are invited from Science Academies, National Research Councils, Universities and Science and Technological Institutions in ISESCO Member-state can nominate a minimum of two candidates in each in field. The nomination should be accompanied by:
a. Brief biography including major scientific/technical accomplishments
b. Copies of 5 recent significant publications
c. Complete list of publications
d. Curriculum vitae
e. Submission of one paper (in nominee's field of work) for publication in ISESCO Journal of Science and Technology, this paper should represent an original work, and has never been published.

Furthermore, the completed applications should be forwarded to the undersigned with soft copies via email to mamaidoh@yahoo.com on or before 20th April, 2016 for processing and onward transmission to ISESCO Rabat:
